Upcoming Planned Roadwork for Northeast Missouri, September 21 - October 2, 2026
HANNIBAL – The following is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northeast Missouri region for the next few weeks.
All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.
Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.
Audrain County
Missouri Route 19 – September 21 - 25, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from Route J to Route BB at Scotts Corner between 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.
Clark County
U.S. Route 61 Northbound – October 1, LANE RESTRICTION for sign work from CR 315 to CR 309 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Montgomery County
I-70 Eastbound & Westbound – September 26 – 27, LANE RESTRICTION for utility work from mile marker 176.0 to mile marker 176.6 beginning Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, September 27th at 4:00 a.m.
Route ZZ – September 21, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Whitehall School Road to Sturgeon Street near Wellsville between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Route ZZ – September 22, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Cedar Town Road to Whitehall School Road near Wellsville between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Route ZZ – September 22, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Route RA to Route B near Wellsville between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Route ZZ – September 23, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Missouri Route 19 to Route B near Wellsville between 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Ralls County
U.S. Route 61 Northbound – September 21 – 22, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from Route O to Ocean Wave Road near Hannibal between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.
U.S. Route 61 Southbound – September 28, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from Route O to Northside Drive over Salt River near New London between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Shelby County
Missouri Route 151 – September 21 – 22, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from 0.50 mile before and after the North Fork Salt River bridge between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.
Work with us in the work zone! Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel. With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone. Be informed of your route by checking the MoDOT Traveler Information Map before you leave to see if you will encounter any work zones.
