Community Blood Center - Blood Drive - September 4th, 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Atchison County's first responders are teaming up to help save lives during the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive! Join us on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at Memorial Hall Gym, 819 Commercial Street, Atchison, Kansas. This friendly competition brings together local first responders to encourage community members to donate blood and support patients throughout the region. 

Every blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives. Community Blood Center, the primary blood provider for more than 70 hospitals in Kansas and Missouri, relies on volunteer donors to help maintain a safe and adequate blood supply for trauma victims, cancer patients, surgery patients, new mothers, and others in need. 

Community members are encouraged to schedule an appointment by visiting the donor registration site and entering Group Code: EI6B, or by calling 1-877-468-6844. Eligible donors must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent), meet minimum weight requirements, bring a photo ID, and be feeling healthy on the day of donation.
